I notice a lot of you fear these due to thinking there are a lot of fakes out there. And I heard the same thing from friends I knew in the NAWCC.So I looked at a lot of forums doing a little home work and even took a chance on this one hoping I did right. This one had a dial variation I thought I saw thought it was what they call a Sinn refurbish Sinn got hold of a lot of surplus German military watches in the 1980's and refurbish them and thin sold them to the public and most were redial with a Sinn service dial. But I posted this watch at a few other forums and member notice the dial was a little different than the Sinn service dial. Then other member did a search found other with the same dial on other forums then at MWR a few member told me mine was a dial that was replaced when the military serviced it and replace the radiation 3H dial and that when they gave it a second military issue number on the back cover mystery solved. And then Colin anther member here also has one with the same dial and that's when I knew I did OK.Another test if you handle one before buying one is this is a flyback chrono if the sweep hand don't fly back and restart the movement is fake the flyback movement is not made that much any more and the Chinese movement in that want to be a Heuer on fleabay will not flyback.I also had my watchmaker re-time it after I got it and glad I had the real McCoy it was the 230 movement.I got this watch from German Ebay and that was another reason I took a chance and glad I did.So don't let fear of fakes stop you there are fakes proberly out there but do your home and you might just find a nice and authentic one out there for a fair price. And here is a link that mite help some of you for your search for one it has a lot of info and has every dial that was used except the one I have that gave me doubts on mine until I was told my some better experts than me that I did good.I guess they should ad this dial to the web site.
